Professional Dog Handler
Purina Pro Club Pro and professional dog handler Diego Garcia is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, but currently lives in Lillington, NC.
Q: Why do you feed Purina Pro Plan dog food?
A: I feed Purina Pro Plan because it’s great for muscle tone and healthy skin. I feed all my dogs Pro Plan and I’m thrilled with the results.

Q: What is the most exciting part of being a dog handler?
A: Seeing the dogs every day and watching them change within a few months of training and conditioning.
Q: What’s your number-one goal in your work?
A: Our goal is to see every dog we show in great condition, despite whether we win or lose.
Q: What do you find most rewarding about the time you spend with your dogs?
A: When we put all the dogs we are showing outside for some relaxation. We love watching them enjoy themselves and just be dogs!
Q: What is the first thing on your mind when you walk into the show ring?
A: To present the dog and ourselves in the best condition possible and show the judges we are ready to win!
Q: If you could show any of the past Westminster Best in Show Winners, which one would you choose and why?
A: I would choose Salilyn’s Condor the English Springer Spaniel. I was mesmerized watching that beautiful dog move around the ring at Westminster!
Q: What do you think it takes to make a champion dog?
A: Good construction, conditioning and temperament.
Q: What draws you to your breed of choice?
A: I choose Boxers because they love kids and other dogs and are the perfect breed in my opinion.
