2019 Canadian National Spaniel Field Trial Champion Is A Male Named 'Ugg'
A 6-year-old male English Springer Spaniel named “Ugg” gave his all, consistently excelling over five land series, a water series and the Finals, to become the 2019 Canadian National Spaniel Field Trial Champion. Handled by pro Gary Riddle of Mendon, Utah, CNFC Nel’s Tip of the Sword proved his stylish bird-finding and excellent marking abilities to outperform 58 spaniels. “Ugg is a really special dog,” says Riddle, who began working with the spaniel two years ago. “He is one of the hardest dogs I ever trained. Over the last year, it has all come together. Once he started to trust me and we built a rapport, he began to understand what I wanted.” Ugg also received the Guns Award and Breeder’s Trophy at the Canadian National. Bred and owned by James Nelson of Peoria, Arizona, Ugg is fed Purina Pro Plan SPORT Performance 30/20 Chicken & Rice Formula.
