Purina Presents Record PPCP Donation To AKC Canine Health Foundation
The collective efforts of members of 195 parent breed clubs resulted in a record Purina Parent Club Partnership (PPCP) donation in 2018 to the AKC (American Kennel Club) Canine Health Foundation.
Pat Mullen, Purina Vice President, and Ann Viklund, Purina Director of Conformation, presented the check for $473,829.39 to Dr. Charles Garvin, Chair of the Board, and Dr. Diane Brown, CEO, of the AKC Canine Health Foundation February 11 during the live broadcast of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on FS1 (Fox Sports 1). The funds will help to advance canine health research.
The annual donation is shared between the parent clubs and their Donor Advised Funds at the Canine Health Foundation. Since it began in 2002, the PPCP has provided approximately $8 million for canine health research, breed rescue and educational efforts.
