About Cheryl Lopate, MS, DVM, DACT:     

Cheryl Lopate, MS, DVM, DACT, completed a master’s degree in reproductive physiology and her veterinary degree at The Ohio State University. After a residency in comparative theriogenology at Purdue University, Dr. Lopate became a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists. She continued at Purdue as a clinical instructor for two and a half years. During this time, she spent six months on sabbatical in Queensland, Australia, working at an equine and small-animal referral practice. Dr. Lopate opened her Reproductive Revolutions referral practice in Portland, Oregon, in 2003 and merged the practice with a general companion animal practice in 2011. She has a special interest in ultrasonography during pregnancy, high-risk pregnancy and male infertility. Dr. Lopate lives on a hobby farm with a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and an Australian Shepherd, a small flock of sheep for the dogs to herd, a Cleveland Bay gelding, two donkeys and a barn cat.
