Corey Benedict
Corey Benedict, originally from Kansas City, began his love for the sport of purebred dogs at a young age in Kansas when he began breeding and showing English Springer Spaniels.
Residing in Florida, Corey is actively breeding and showing English Springer Spaniels in addition to Grand Basset Griffon Vendeens. Corey is currently a founding member and President of the Grand Basset Griffon Vendėen Club of America where he has played an integral role in establishing and promoting these noble French Hounds in the US into the American Kennel Club’s miscellaneous class. Corey is the owner/breeder of the top winning GBGV in the US and is an AKC Breeder of Merit. He has been published and lectured nationally about the breed and teaches Judges Education in the US.
In conjunction with showing and breeding, Corey also enjoys the art and sport of professional dog grooming and has been designated an award winning professional competitive dog groomer. In addition, he is currently active in promoting Pro Plan within the national dog grooming competition world through the PET group.
Corey has been working with the Professional Engagement Team in the Breeder Enthusiast Group for four years as a Consultant and most recently a Field Promotions Representative. Corey is now the Northeastern Area Manager and is thrilled to be able to combine his love of purebred dogs and management skills into a career with Nestle Purina Pet Care.
