About Annie Valuska, PhD 

Annie Valuska, PhD, brings over 20 years of animal behavior experience to her role as a Principal Scientist on Purina’s Pet Behavior team. After receiving her doctorate degree in animal behavior from the University of California-Davis, Dr. Valuska went on to serve as the postdoctoral behavior research fellow at Disney’s Animal Kingdom before joining Purina in 2013. Since then, Dr. Valuska has used her expertise to serve as the “voice of the pet,” ensuring that the needs of dogs are kept top of mind in all of Purina’s products and outreach efforts. She is frequently interviewed for podcasts, TV news stories and newspaper articles, and she can also be found on TikTok and Instagram (@annieknowanimals).
