2014 Purina Brace Beagle Champion Award
2XNBC-FCB Bee Lick Braveheart is the winner of the 10th annual Purina Brace Beagle Champion Award. The 2 ½-year-old tricolor male Beagle is co-owned by Marty Parker of Taylorsville, Kentucky, Niki Happel of Pittsburgh, and Mike Asbury of Elyria, Ohio. “Braveheart” won the Purina Brace Beagle Derby Award in 2013, and his daughter, FCB Steeler Town Stiletto, captured the award this year. “At the Northeastern, Braveheart had the longest and best run I have seen all year,” says Parker, the handler and breeder. “During the 30-minute run, he turned in seven times, following the rabbit’s track.” Besides winning two Purina Awards, Braveheart is a two-time National Brace Champion. ”From the time Braveheart started, I always knew he had a lot of ability,” Parker says. “He has a big nose and can accurately track a rabbit where a lot of dogs don’t run.” Braveheart is fed Purina® Pro Plan® SPORT Performance 30/20 Formula.
