A rising star in her breed, a regal 2-year-old Great Dane called “Pandora” captured two major awards this October at the 2015 Great Dane Club of America National Specialty in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In addition to capturing Best of Breed, Multi-BIS/Multi-BISS GCH Old Mission’s Lucid Dream was also named the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals’ (OFA) Champion of Health. Awarded to one dog in each breed participating in the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) program, Pandora was recognized for her recent conformation accomplishments and outstanding health tests. Co-owner Kathy Toomey of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, believes that exceptional health and proper nutrition go hand in hand. “Purina Pro Plan provides excellent nutrition that contributes to Pandora’s outstanding physical condition,” says Toomey. A beautiful fawn bitch with a black mask, Pandora was bred by Stephanie Blades of Imlay, Michigan, who co-owns the dog with Barbara Hainline of Salisbury, North Carolina; Sallie Cummings of Kings Mountain, North Carolina; and Tricia Smallwood of Provo, Utah. Handled by Toomey’s husband, Doug, Pandora is fueled by Purina® Pro Plan® NATURAL Chicken & Brown Rice Formula.
